A continuous chess player in the arena of governance, he strategises around the clock, meticulously plotting moves that have brought unprecedented transformation to Somolu.
His humility and generosity remain his signature, endearing him to all who encounter his inspiring leadership style.
Since 2017, Dullar has left indelible marks on the sands of Somolu’s development. His tenure as Executive Chairman has witnessed human and infrastructural revolutions, earning him numerous prestigious awards both within Nigeria and internationally.
His strategic approach to leadership is a blueprint for future generations and a testament to the power of committed grassroots governance.
Among his enduring legacies is the unveiling of a new logo for Somolu Local Government, a striking emblem of pride, unity, and progress.
Designed with future generations in mind, the logo symbolises a vibrant era that will stand the test of time, showcasing Somolu as a hub of innovation and development.
Dullar’s strategic initiatives have birthed monumental projects such as the soon-to-be-commissioned state-of-the-art New Somolu Local Government Secretariat, affectionately known as “The Glass House”.
His vision also materialised the New Somolu Legislative Complex, Somolu Emergency Service Station with a fire-fighting truck, the New Bashua Police Station, and the Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu Primary Healthcare Centre, elevating the standard of living for all Somolu residents.
In his unrelenting drive for excellence, Hon. Salawu has overseen the transformation of Somolu’s road network with modern interlocking stone pavements, elegantly lined with solar-powered streetlights.
These projects have enhanced mobility, safety, and the beauty of the environment, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable urban development.
I was privileged to be appointed as his Chief Press Secretary in 2017, a role that has been both a profound honour and a masterclass in leadership.
Under Dullar’s mentorship, I have grown exponentially, sharpening my professional skills and enriching my human relations abilities beyond measure.
For nearly eight years now, you have been a generous leader and a meticulous teacher, pushing me constantly towards greater excellence.
