Royal Splendor:Orile-Alagbado Celebrates New Dawn with Enthronement of Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola.

In a grand display of royal splendor, Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola(Tomia 1)was crowned as the Oba of Orile Alagbado marking a new chapter in the history of Orile-Alagbado.

The enthronement ceremony which took place on Sunday 1, June 2025,at Tmia 1 Primary School, Kollington, Alagbado, Lagos State was a vibrant celebration of tradition, culture, and royal heritage.

The event attracted dignitaries from across Nigeria and the diaspora, including royal fathers,government officials,political stakeholders,religious leaders and proud sons and daughters of Orile-Alagbado who gathered to witness the birth of a new era.

In his address, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all who made the occasion a success.

He described the coronation as a divine assignment and pledged his unwavering commitment to promoting unity, culture, and development across the kingdom.

“This is not just a personal milestone, it is a new beginning for Orile-Alagbado. I am deeply honoured by the love shown today.

” I assure you my people of a reign built on peace, integrity, and meaningful progress. Our land shall flourish, our youths shall rise, and our culture shall thrive,” the monarch declared.

The king also acknowledged the remarkable support from the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA)Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID), who presented a brand-new Lexus SUV to the palace to aid royal duties and elevate the honour of the throne.

Oba Adeyoola lauded the Chairman’s vision and reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with government at all levels, community leaders, and the people to sustain development and preserve the heritage of the land.

Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola (Tomia I) also used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to social responsibility, especially in the fight against “rug abuse and youth misdirection.

He called on all residents to join hands with the throne in building a safer and more progressive society.

The Executive Chairman, Ojokoro LCDA,Hon Hammed Idowu D.Tijani in his address thanked the people of Orile Alagbado for their contribution and support towards ensuring that the event is a memorable one.

Hon Tijani applauded Oba Adeyoola for taking it upon himself in the fight against drug abuse among youths and his commitment to community engagement which reflect him as a forward thinking and compassionate leader.

“With a heart full of gratitude and thanksgiving, I welcome you all to this moment of joyous occasion, the Coronation Ceremony of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola (TOMIA I), the Oba of Orile-Alagbado.”

Today marks a new chapter in the cultural and historical journey of Orile-Alagbado. It is a celebration of leadership, legacy, and unity.”

We are gathered here not only to witness a coronation but also to reaffirm our collective belief in the strength and relevance of the traditional institution.”he said

He opined that as an administration,he recognize the royal fathers not only as traditional symbols but also as development partners, noting that as part of his commitment and support to traditional institution,he recently presented a brand-new Lexus SUV to His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola, to support his duties and enhance the dignity of the throne.‎

“Kabiyesi, your early initiatives, especially your campaign against drug abuse and your commitment to community engagement, reflect the qualities of a forward-thinking and compassionate leader. May your reign bring honour, peace, and prosperity to Orile-Alagbado and beyond.”

To  all sons and daughters of this great kingdom, I urge you to rally around your king with loyalty and unity. Let us build together, grow together, and protect the values that define us.”he submitted.

Investigator news reports that the coronation ceremony was graced by several high-profile personalities, including Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo (BAO),Member, House of Representatives, Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency,Hon. Olotu Emmanuel,Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Ifako-Ijaiye II,Community figures like Sulu Authority,Alhaja Sego,numerous royal fathers, and representatives of the Nigerian diaspora.

There were rich displays of cultural performances, traditional rites, and expressions of communal joy, showcasing the pride of Orile-Alagbado’s history and people as Security were beefed up with activities heightened for the coronation of the new Oba of Orile Alagbado

Investigator news gathered that as the drums rolled and the kingdom rejoiced, it was clear that the people of Orile-Alagbado have embraced a new chapter anchored in royal leadership,community service, and shared values.
