In their effort to inspire and encourage young people towards giving back to the society, Rotary Club Okota has inaugurated the Interact Club of Power and Glory College Ejigbo, Lagos
The event which took place at the College main Hall on Wednesday 21, January 2026,witnessed the presence of students and members of Rotary Club of Okota who gathered in their numbers to witness the epoch making event.
In his welcome address,Rtn. Kingsley Chijioke, President Rotary Club Okota District 911, expressed delight over the successful outcome of the ceremony.
He noted that the aim and objectives of the Rotary Club Okota, is to expose the students both academically, social, and otherwise, saying one the purpose for interact club is to enable the children to create more bond within themselves and other schools.
Chijioke, said” we have vision,time will come when we be having inter competition within interact schools within our club.
“And also we normally sponsor the children for educational training, seminars, and even to abroad for them to go and create bond with other children. There are a lot of benefits in interact club”. He stated.
” The club plans to sponsor students for educational training, seminars, and international events.”he said
The President further advised the children to keep being dependent in giving back to the society, urging them to be focus and consistent, more importantly to be committed for whatever they want to be in life.
Rotarian Titilope Okubadejo-Oladipo, Past President and Chairman Career Guardian and Counseling urged students to be committed to giving back to society.
She expressed delight for the community young people aspiring to come into service.
Yeye Titilope stressed that Rotary service is not an easy thing, revealing it makes her happy to see young ones around her because they have seen the importance of humanitarian service, describing the event as a fulfillment of a dream.
Titilope,urged the club to build a new set so in order to create a sustainable interact in the school.
PAG Kamal Ola-Opola, Zonal Coordinator representing 18 Clubs Rotary District International and member Rotary Club Okota congratulated the Interact Club, saying it would open opportunities for students.
According to him, this will open opportunities for the students of the school and it will expose them to the regorious training under this line, says it will enable them to take their own self decision without looking elsewhere revealing is going to help the students towards what they want to be in future.
The Past Assistant Governor, charged the school to continuously monitoring and supervising them, adding that the school needs to have somebody supervising interact club because when they have an engagement probably outside the school, the teacher in charge have to motivate them to attend seminars, and any vocational training saying the school need to appoint someone to see on what they are doing.
However, the Youth Service Chairman Rotary Club Okota, Rtn Austin Eloke Okonkwo, noted that they have extended their humanitarian service to the interact club of Power and Glory College, adding it will inturn expose them to the world.
He charged the interact club of Power and Glory to sustain the flame so that by this time next year they would have gone far, noting that they would have carried out projects beyond Ejigbo and Okota respectively.
Earlier,PP Yeye Titilope took the students on the importance of the four way test, urging them to always speak the truth,have trust and learn how to associate with individuals.
Also,the Proprietor of Power and Glory College, Ejigbo, Rotarian Ezekiel Onilude in his welcome address appreciated the club for finding the school worthy and promised the club his unalloyed support towards the growth of the interact club.
He called on the students to make good use of this opportunity as the club would help them to discover their hidden talents and skills.
Meanwhile,the event witnessed the inauguration of the newly installed President and other Executives.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of the Chapter Certificate to Interact Club of Power and Glory College and installation of the pioneer President.
