He stated this during a press conference held at the Ohaneze State Secretariat,Surulere Lagos stating that the planned protest organised by some faceless groups is to distort the peace and unity of the nation.

Ambassador Aguene who acknowledges the economic challenges being faced in the country, appeals to Nigerians to give the President who is just one year in office more time as the Tinubu’s administration is working tirelessly to revamp the economy.

He emphasized on the need for the leaders of the protest group to have a rethink and have dialogue with the Federal government, noted that the fact that protest is part of the democratic process, still need peaceful dialogue with government as hoodlums will use the opportunity to destroy lives and properties in the state.

The United Nations Peace Ambassador went further to inform the general public and Lagos state government that Ndigbos in Lagos state will not be part of the protest unlike some people who are parading themselves as Igbos and calling for the protest in Lagos, noting that the lgbos will continue to cooperate with the state government so as to maintain peace and order in the state.

“it will not make any sense at this period that the Federal Government is looking for ways to revamp the economy and some faceless people are busy mobilizing people to embark on protest to worsen the situation,l want to declare that Ndigbo will not participate in such senseless protest in the State and l have directed all Ndigbo across the Local Councils in the State not to participate.

“Of a truth, people are suffering due to the economic problems facing the country, but embarking on protest will not achieve the desired results because hoodlums will use the opportunity to destroy lives and property in the State,l am calling on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a matter of urgency look into the burning issues bothering the masses. Also l want to appeal to all Nigerians to pray and support the President,be patient with him as he is working towards the renewed hope he promised the country “he stated

The lgbo Apex leader urged Ndigbo to continue to support Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration because he has demonstrated leadership qualities and showed that he loves Ndigbo, while calling for peace and unity among the ethnic groups
