A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress and two term former lawmaker Lagos State House of Assembly,Hon Jude Chukwuemeka ldimogu has begged Nigerian Youths to shun the 10 days planned nationwide protest schedule to commence between August 1 to August 10 over current economic hardship in the country.
Hon ldimogu who was seen kneeling down in a viral video being circulated in the social media, advised the youths to consider the sacrifice being made by the current administration to reinvigorate the economy of the country, noting that the government is not insensitive to the plight of Nigerians and will not fail to give a listening ear to the youths if they resort to meaningful dialogue.
He advised those planning to protest over harrowing hardship being experienced in the country to engage in dialogue with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
“President Tinubu is committed to restoring the dignity of this country from the comity of all nations,l want to urge the youths to be patient with this administration.”
“Let us not use our hands to destroy our country,, though tribe and tongue may differ but in brotherhood we stand,we don’t have any other country except Nigeria. Kenyans have almost destroyed their country,we must not follow their footsteps ”
“Protest is an alienable right of all Nigerians to agitate for any demand, provided that it will be peaceful and violence-free,l know that there is hunger in the land but we need to be patient with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu “he submitted.
The former lawmaker who represented Oshodi/lsolo State Constituency 2 went further to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to save the nation and quickly come to the rescue of Nigeerians who are not happy with the economic hardship being faced in the country, adding that the President must not let Nigeria burn.
