On Tuesday, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command discovered a bandit hideout in the Dadu hills of the Kuje Area Council of the territory, engaging the assailants in a gunfight.
The development came after the command’s spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, received actionable intelligence about suspected bandits holding some people hostage in the area, according to the statement.
Upon receiving the complaint, she said the command stormed the area in a coordinated effort with the Destiny hunters.

The criminal elements opened fire after seeing the team’s valiant progress, according to the statement, killing one of the Destiny hunter members.
The miscreants retreated with varying degrees of gunshot injuries, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, due to the team’s superior firepower.
The victims were taken to the hospital for medical examination and then reunited with their families, according to the statement.
“Mustahudeen Sani, Felix Vaa, and Adamu Isa, all males who were reportedly kidnapped between the 23rd and 25th of May 2022 at kiyi In Kwali Area Council, and Abdulsalam Uzugiz, who was kidnapped at Angwan Gade extension of Kuje Area Council of the Territory,” according to the PPRO.
“While expressing condolences to the deceased’s family, the FCT Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to ridding the Territory of crime and criminality.”
