Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has joined the teeming admirers and lovers of her genre of music and style to mourn the passing of a sensational female gospel artiste – Ajayi Morounkola Aduke who bade the world bye on Monday aged 35 years at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan after battling an undisclosed ailment.
In a release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rasheed lskilu, Hon.Olasoju expressed sympathy with the family of the ebony musician describing her death as the most shocking news to him in recent times.
“Learning about the demise of Aduke Ajayi (Aduke Gold) sent a devastating shock waves down my spine. Aduke was an ardent fan of my administration and never looked back whenever her services were required at our functions. Aduke was an embodiment of humility, resilience, hardworkingness, amiablibity, beauty and, above all, devotuness. Aduke was more like a sister to me whose pleasantness I always adore.”
Commiserating with the family of Aduke, Olasoju urged them to find consolation in the impactful life led by their daughter as he maintained that the good works done by Aduke shall continue to inspire other talents and even generations unborn.
“My heart goes out to her family at this trying period. It is my strong hope that consolation shall, however, be found in the indelible prints left on the sands of time by their beloved daughter. May Aduke’s soul rest in the bossom of her creator” the council boss wrote.
Investigator news gathered that the Gospel artiste was born on 16th March, 1989 into the family of Ajayi of Ilesha, Osun state, Morounkola Aduke had her elementary and secondary school educations in Lagos before proceeding to the prestigious Lagos State University for her tertiary education. Among her popular songs are “Aanu ni mofe”, “So yeye di Ayeye” and, of course, Award-winning “Nitori Ogo” which helped her cement her spot as a gospel artiste to reckon with.
