Ojokoro LCDA Chairman,Hon Hammed Tijani Empowers Artisans with ₦30 Million Grants.

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani, has disbursed ₦30 million in cash empowerment grants to artisans across the council area.

This initiative aims to boost small-scale businesses and reduce poverty at the grassroots level, specifically targeting artisans in various trades.

‎Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the council secretariat, Hon. Tijani stated that the program is designed to support artisans directly, unlike previous disbursements that included SMEs,this phase of the empowerment programme was specifically tailored for artisans to directly support their various trade

Investigator news reports that the council has trained artisans in vocations like fashion design, catering, hairdressing, photography, ICT, and event planning as many past beneficiaries have become successful business owners and job creators, with some even playing professional football abroad.

‎‎Commending the initiative, Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo (BAO), member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, applauded Hon. Tijani for consolidating on the achievements of past administrations and for always prioritizing the welfare of the people.

‎Also speaking at the event, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeshoga Williams Adeyoola (Tomia I), Ọba of Orile-Alagbado Kingdom, lauded the council boss for etching his name in the sands of time through impactful projects.

He urged the APC flagbearer, Barr. Adenike Oluyemisi Rosiji, to take a cue from Hon. Tijani’s performance and continue the legacy of excellence when elected into office.

‎‎Hon. Tijani further cited success stories of beneficiaries who, through previous empowerment efforts, are now gainfully employed or even playing professional football abroad.

He encouraged the new beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the grants and remain focused on building sustainable businesses.

‎The council chairman expressed appreciation to the council management, stakeholders, and community members for their unwavering support.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to human capital development and economic empowerment in Ojokoro LCDA till the end of his tenure.
