Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi has secured another term as Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The State Party Congress, held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, saw party faithful, delegates, stakeholders and leaders from across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state reaffirm their support for Ojelabi’s leadership.

The Chairman of the State Congress Committee, Stella Okotete, presented the consensus list, which was subsequently affirmed by voice vote.

Investigator news reports that other executives elected include Moshood Olanrewaju as Deputy Chairman; Adeola Jokomba as Secretary; Azizat Mariam as Assistant Secretary; Seye Oladejo as Publicity Secretary; Babajide Sunday as Vice Chairman; Shola Eletu as Woman Leader; and Ayodele Adewale as Organising Secretary.
Governor Babajide Sanwoolu who witnessed the event,praised the congress, citing it as a reflection of the party’s unity and democracy.

He expressed optimism that the renewed mandate would further reposition the party ahead of future political engagements.
In his acceptance remarks,Hon Ojelabi thanked delegates and party leaders for the trust reposed in him, pledging to deepen inclusiveness, enhance reconciliation efforts, and strengthen the party’s structure from the ward to the state level.

Investigator news gathered that Hon. Ojelabi’s re-election is widely seen as a testament to his stewardship, party cohesion efforts, and his role in consolidating the APC’s dominance in Lagos politics.
Under his leadership, the party has maintained structural stability, strengthened grassroots mobilization, and sustained electoral victories across various polls in the state.

The congress was witnessed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa; Leader of the Governor’s Advisory Council, Tajudeen Olusi; and Secretary to the State Government, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin.
Also present were former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode; governorship aspirant, Olajide Adediran; and former senator, Ganiyu Solomon, among others.
The well-attended event brought also key stakeholders of the party, including members of the Governor’s Advisory Council, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and council chairmen from across the state.

The delegation of council chairmen was led by Conference 57 Chairman, Hon. Sesan Olowa, who was present to observe and lend support throughout the ratification process.
