Chief Emma Ubah, Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Otto-Awori, LCDA,Lagos State,has pledged to reconcile all Igbo factions in Lagos State if elected as the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State.

Speaking at a meeting of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, led by Chief Solomon Aguene, Ubah emphasized his commitment to truth and unity.

He noted that his aim is to unite all segments, ensuring they speak with one voice, noting that if other factions refuse to join the new administration,he vows to reach out to them.

The astute businessman disclosed that he is a man of truth and avoid any place where there is no truth adding that he understands perfectly that there are issues in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, and that was exactly why he presented himself to lead the people.

He Therefore said he is coming to unite all the segments so that everybody would speak with one voice.

Responding to questions by newsmen Chief Ubah said, ” We are here for the common purpose that I am found worthy to lead the Igbos in Lagos in the next dispensation.

“Today’s occasion is that the incumbent Government is trying to institute Lagos State Ohanaeze.”he said

Speaking on the acceptability of the process that is bringing the new administration, he said, ‘It is all about truth. And I don’t belong to a place where there is no truth.

“It is true that there are oppositions and misunderstanding and that is why I came to stop everything and unite every group so that we can be speaking with one voice, that is why my people have chosen me for that purpose,” he said.

On the question of whether all the segments of Ohanaeze Lagos are agreed to have him as the next president of Ohanaeze Lagos State, he said, ” Yes all the Igbos that matter are here, they can not all be at one place at a time, and with my mission and vision, even if they don’t come I will go to them because what I am looking for is peace and unity among us.

“My agenda is to reconcile all the Igbos in Lagos State, and to make sure we live in peace with our host in Lagos State,” Chief Ubah stated.

Responding to question if the other groups refused to acknowledge him as the new leader of Lagos Ohanaeze, he is said “I am somebody that is tolerant and enduring, whoever that has that quality has the capability of delivering on what he has in his mission and vision.”

On issue of Eze Ndigbo in Lagos, he said, “In fact that is one of the issues I am going to tackle when I come in.”he submitted

Ubah also plans to tackle the longstanding issue of Eze Ndigbo in Lagos, seeking a lasting solution as his agenda focuses on reconciling Igbos in Lagos State and fostering peaceful coexistence with their host community.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of Chief Ubah to the organization by the incumbent president,High Chief Solomon Aguene as prayers were offered for the peace and unity of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State.
