The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)in Ogun state has named Honourable Funso Jide Adekunle as the new State Youth leader of the party and Prince(Rotarian)Micheal Adesanya as the new Senatorial Chairman,Ogun East.
In a State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting held on the 25th June,2024 at the party secretariat,Fajol House,Adatan, Abeokuta saw the two newly elected leaders unanimously supported by all the Party State Executives.
In his remark, the State Chairman of the party Barrister John Olufemi Aina stated that Honourable Fushi political prowess has been tested during his tenure as Ogun East Senatorial Chairman of the party, in which he performed beyond expectation.
He went further to state that with satisfaction Hon.Funso long standing commitment to the growth of the party, particularly his leading roles in the mobilization of several party men and youth groups at various levels, as well as in the conduct of party primaries and congresses in several parts of the country,is of no doubt that this new position as the State Youth Leader, although a bigger task but l am very sure that Honourable Fushi will give his best to lead the youth of Ogun State NNPP.”he stated.
In the same vein,the State Publicity Secretary, Honourable (Comrade) Omokehinde Olowu, charged the new State Youth Leader,Hon fushi and the new Senatorial Chairman,Hon Adesanya to ensure that the party in Ogun state assume the leadership of the state in the general election.
According to him,”Honourable Fushi performance when he was the Ogun Senatorial Chairman was impressive and all the 9 Local Government Chairmen of Ogun East Senatorial Districts and all the Senatorial leaders can testified to that, but the Youth Leadership position he is attaining today is a bigger task and more strategic work and planning is expected from him,l pray for a successful tenure and also believe that the person replacing you today will take over from where you stopped as the Senatorial Chairman “he submitted.
Also, the NNPP Chairman of Sagamu Local Government Honourable Babatunde Ogunyemisi, while given his remark on behalf of the 9 Local Government Chairmen of Ogun East Senatorial Districts, stated that Honourable Fushi as the Senatorial Chairman, his leadership spirit is second to none.
Ogunyemisi noted that Hon fushi was a capacity Leader, who is very accommodating and ready to learn from everyone around him, while advising him to be more focused and be ready to accept everybody with their behaviors and character.
Honourable Funso Jide Adekunle while speaking to Journalists express his heartfelt gratitude to the State Chairman and the entire state executives for counting him worth of note to lead the youth of this great party.
Fushi who was the House of Assembly Candidate in the last general election promised to bring to the table some comprehensive strategic approach that will strengthen the structure of the party and channel the party towards the dream of taken over the mantle of leadership of Ogun State come 2027, stating that a new Ogun State is possible.
It will be recalled that Honourable Funso Jide Adekunle until his new role was the Senatorial Chairman of Ogun East and has promised as the new state youth leader of NNPP Ogun state to coordinate the affairs of all the youths of the party in Ogun State.
