Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has urged his supporters to be tolerant of others’ views and opinions.
Obi’s call followed the recent ‘prayer mat’ campaign, which some Nigerians interpreted as the candidate’s display of religious intolerance.
Obi later condemned the development, which he claimed did not come from him or his campaign groups.
The former Anambra state governor appears to have gained widespread support from the youth in their fight for a new order.
He stated that Nigeria has been pushed to the brink of disaster and requires focused and prudent leadership to save it.

He went on to say that the country needed to be repositioned so that it consumes what it produces.
On Sunday, the presidential candidate tweeted from his verified Twitter account, urging his supporters to be patient as they promote him as the best option in 2023.
