Nollywood Award: AGN Lagos Honours CEO Ruzu Herbals, Celebrates Nollywood Veteran Emeka Ike, Sunny Macdon, Prince Emeka Ani,others.

Veteran Nollywood actor,Emeka lke, Prince Emeka Ani, Sunny MacDon,comic act,Victor Osuagwu,Bar. Kingsley Ogbonna (aka Dauda) and Chairman/CEO Ruzu Herbal Product and Services limited were some of the stars and personalities honoured at the “Actors Night”, celebrating Nollywood actors, organized by the Actors Guild Of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter in Conjunction with Oj Entertainment limited held in Lagos on May 4,2024.


The Award /Actors Night which was aimed at celebrating Nigerian actors and personalities who have distinguished themselves excellently and contributed to the affairs of AGN Lagos chapter saw the likes of Dr Roberts Onyemachi Uzu being honored for his magnanimity, contribution and welfare of members towards AGN in totality.


Following the immense ground-breaking records of Ruzu Herbal Products and Go Wellness Worldwide, established by Dr Onyemachi Uzu which was created over the years in its potency to cure diverse health-related issues using the herbal formula has earned Dr. Uzu notable recognition in the nation,and this includes the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

Addressing Journalists,the Chairman Actors Guild Of Nigeria Lagos State Chapter,Emeka Rising lbeh stated that the essence of the event was to celebrate stars,veterans and personalities who have distinguished themselves excellently,contributed and helped the industry grow even from their respective fields.

Ibeh went further to state that the “Actors Night” rose after a training session for aspiring actors which was established to encourage the youths picking up a skill other than wandering about idle,thereby leading to the committing of fraudulent acts like scams, hookups, and other vices, stating that the training session is meant to educate, nurture, and enable capacity-building amongst the youth and adults who participated.

The chairman noted that the aspiring actors who were handed certificates during the actors night will be the 4th set of trainees so far since the commencement of humanitarian development in the 3 years of his administration as AGN president Lagos chapter

He said “the first set of trained aspiring actors had 280 participants; the second set was 185; the third was 210; and this is the fourth set having 172 participants and would be awarded with a certificate of membership.”

“Let me use this opportunity to advised the upcoming actors to be steadfast and focused as there is no short cut to success but with determination,you can be another Emeka lke, Victor Osuagwu, Prince Emeka Ani,Sunny MacDon,Jim lyke, Pete Edochie among others.”he states.

While Commending the effort of Dr Robert Onyemachi Uzu,Mr Emeka Rising thanked him for his magnanimity towards AGN in totality and his contribution towards making the free training of aspiring actors a successful venture.


Earlier,Dr Robert Onyemachi Uzu, Chairman/CEO Ruzu Herbal Products and Services.stated that Actors of Nigeria is an industry that is aimed at impacting lives.and creating humor for individuals to stay healthy, therefore making Go Wellness Worldwide limited to partner with Nollywood as one of the largest employers of labor to help reduce the rate of unemployment in the nation and also helping them to stay healthy.

” AGN is an industry that has made an impact on the lives of people at large and deserves the right support,we need to support AGN, we need to make them happy, understand their feelings and contribute our quota to keep the association alive”

The elated chairman,Dr Uzu who thanked AGN Lagos for finding him worthy revealed that he has been supportive to the association not only by giving total wellness packages but also by being a major sponsor of the five-day training so far.

He urged the upcoming actors to emulate the success of star actors who have made an impact in the industry, not their personalities or characters, noting that as trainees, they need not to be deterred by competitions and challenges in the quest for fame but should remain focused and determined to do well in their acting career by enveloping themselves with the passion to succeed.


Uzu opined that as an awardee, he will continue to give health treatments to ailing actors for free nationwide, while expressing sadness at the rate of mortality in Nollywood, which has prompted his support to create total wellness in the industry by way of free treatments and health care services.

In the same vein,Veteran Actor Emeka Ike,who was also an awardee at the occasion, appreciated the organisers of the event, while acknowledging guests and co-awardees,appreciated Dr. Uzu for being a reliable support system in giving free health care services to better the healthy lives of actors.

Emeka lke went further to advice the upcoming actors to stay focused despite challenges that could occur, stating that they should originally use their own acting quality,not emulating or forcibly fall into someone else’s character in the acting career, citing instances of the days in his acting career when he’s got challenging roles but interpreted them well due to his resilience to work and originality on display.

He urged them not to be deterred with the present predicament within the industry noting that as the chaperone of a safety committee appointed by AGN to oversee actor welfare and safety in executing primary assignments by producers, he will ensure that the incident leading to the death of star actor Junior Pope will never repeat itself in Nollywood,as there will be rules and binding laws to checkmate matters of safety in the association, he added.

Highlight of the event was the award presentation and celebration of Nollywood stars and patrons of AGN, presentation of certificates to incoming members of the industry who have gone through some professional training as the event was well attended by well known media practitioner known for promoting AGN in its entirety,trainees of AGN Lagos chapter and invited guests.
