New Delta Police Commissioner,Adesola Vows to Strengthen Security, Reduce Crime.

The new Commissioner of Police of Delta State, CP Aina Adesola, has vowed to strengthen security and reduce crime in the state.

In his inaugural address, Adesola assured the people of Delta State of his commitment to duty and promised to adopt a professional, intelligence-driven, and people-centred approach to policing.

He emphasized the importance of community-based policing, strict adherence to the rule of law, and respect for human rights.

Adesola went further to thank the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for the confidence reposed in him and assured the people of Delta State of his commitment to duty.

He also acknowledged his predecessor, AIG Olufemi Abaniwonda, for his leadership and service to the Command.

The new police boss also called on residents to support the police by providing credible and useful information to prevent and detect crime

To his officers, Adesola assured purposeful leadership and fair command, expecting discipline, professionalism, and respect for the uniform at all times.

Investigator news reports that Delta State holds a special place in Adesola’s policing career, having begun his journey in the Nigeria Police Force there and later serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.

Adesola’s mandate is to strengthen security, reduce crime, and ensure peace in Delta State.

He outlined his focus areas as intelligence-led policing, proactive crime prevention, community-based policing, and respect for human rights
