The Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has charted the way forward with the new Divisional Police Officer of Aswani Police State, CSP Celestine Kalu in order to solidify security of lives and property in the council area.
Olasoju assured the new police chief of his support and cooperation in the discharge of her duties when the woman police officer paid him a courtesy and familiarisation visit at the council headquarters on Monday.
The council boss expressed optimism that Kalu will bring her expertise to bear in the community to sustain the legacies of the past DPOs of the division especially her immediate predecessor, CSP Adeleke Ojajuni.
“I am pleased to receive you in audience today and I must confess that I received the news of your deployment to Aswani division with immense pleasure given your track record of exceptional m service. I am very optimistic that you will uphold the legacies of proactive policing of our community.
“Like other DPOs of other divisions, we will work closely with you to sustain and build on our gains in the area of security. Once again I welcome you to Aswani Division, Isolo LCDA,” Olasoju enthused.
On her part, the gallantly-dressed woman police appreciated the council boss for the warm reception as she promised her utmost subordination.
Investigator News gathered that Kalu resumed work at the division on Monday, 15th July, 2024 as the tenth DPO replacing CSP Adeleke Ojajuni and making her the second Woman DPO deployed to the division after CSP Oyin Frances in recent times.
