The Chairman Council of Ndieze Lagos State, Eze Ambassador Dr Chika .C.Nwokedi, has called on the Igbo community to be ambassadors of peace wherever they find themselves.
According to him,promoting peace and harmony is essential for the growth and development of the nation.
He gave this charge when presenting Chieftaincy Certificate to some distinguished individuals who were given Chieftaincy titles during the new yam festival.

Eze Nwokedi,Okpoko 1 of Obodoukwu emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence and urged Ndigbo to promote unity and understanding among themselves and with other communities.
He advised the new Chiefs to be a good ambassador to their family and the society at large,noting that every Igbo has a reputation for resilience and hard work, and that these values should be complemented by a commitment to peace and harmony.
Eze Nwokedi who is also the Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun and Ijedodo community urged Ndigbo to be mindful of their actions and conduct themselves in a manner that would promotes peace and understanding.
“To the new Chiefs that were honoured during the new yam festival held last month, my advice to them and the Igbo community at large is for them to be good ambassadors to their family and the community at large”
“They were honoured because of what they have done and lives they have impacted, therefore wherever they found themselves let them stand for the truth and respect the rules and regulations guiding the land where we are”
“My prayers for Ndigbo is that whatever they lay their hands to do,God will continually protect and bless them and to the new Chiefs,the honor given to them would not bring shame and disgrace, rather it will attract more honor and we shall all eat the fruit of this land” he said.
Eze C.C. Nwokedi went further to appreciate members of his cabinet in ensuring that Ndigbo within and outside Ijegun and Ijedodo community live in peace and harmony with the yoruba community, urging them to shun whatsoever that would cause chaos in the society.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank members of my cabinet for promoting peace and harmony, also my sincere appreciation goes to those who supported us during the new yam festival,my God will replenish their pockets and we will all live to see next year in Jesus name”he submitted.
Speaking with newsmen,Nze Collins Nwosu(Onowu Obi Udo)applauded Eze Ambassador Nwokedi for finding him worthy and recognizing him with a chieftaincy title.
He noted that with the certificate being presented to him,he would ensure that peace and unity remains his watchword and would contribute to the growth and development of Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Lending her voice,Hon Chief Mrs Elizabeth Nwakata(Akwa Ugo Nwanyi Lagos) promised to continually support the less privileged,widows and empower the women.
She thanked Eze Nwokedi for the opportunity and honor, while assuring him of her unalloyed support to growth of Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Eze Nwokedi’s call is a reminder of the critical role Ndigbo can play in promoting peace and stability in their host communities.
