NASFAT Youth Wing Pays Courtesy Visit To Emir of Kano, HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

The NASFAT Youth Wing under the leadership of Bro. Tajudeen Olasupo (NASFAT Youth Secretary) paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Thursday 12,September 2024 being part of the opening activities for this year NASFAT Youth Conference tagged Kano 2024.
The visit is aimed at promoting the Society’s vision and mission as well as the Youth Commitment to foster Social and Economic development while aligning with both Islamic principles and global initiatives like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The delegation who were warmly received by the Emir and his Council members at the Kano Emirate Palace,led by the NASFAT Youth, Bro. Tajudeen Olasupo alongside other YNEC members, the NYC CPC, and other Stakeholders of the society,expressed the Youth gratitude for the audience given by the Emir.
The Youth Secretary outlined the importance of engaging traditional and religious leaders on Youth empowerment, as they hold significant influence in shaping societal values and policies.

The National Amir went further to reiterate the Youth vision and mission which amongst others include Empowerment through Education and Entrepreneurship training.
He emphasized the Youth primary mission which conforms with NASFAT theme (LEAD), that is Leadership, Education,Advocate of change and Dawah,stating how crucial the four areas are for socio-economic growth of the nation and Islam.
Bro. Olasupo Tajudeen did not leave out in his presentation the NASFAT Youth commitment and active role in community development, highlighting amongst other initiatives of the Wing which includes Poverty alleviation programs, Education for all, Environmental sustainability and the Youth alignment with Global Goals such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with particular interest in areas of quality education, gender equality, and climate action.
The Emir, in his address, praised the NASFAT Youth wing for their proactive engagement in issues of National Development. He acknowledged the importance of the role of young people in Nation development.
His Royal Highness encouraged the Youth to stay focused on their goals, leveraging both modern knowledge and Islamic principles to build a prosperous future.
The Emir spoke passionately on the need for youth to rise above societal challenges like unemployment and underemployment by embracing entrepreneurship and innovation.
He assured the NASFAT Youth of his full support and commended their alignment with the SDGs, which represent a global framework for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
In recognition of his commitment to youth development and sustainable progress, the NASFAT Youth Secretary decorated HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as an ambassador for the NASFAT SDG project.
Investigator news reports that the Emir’s new role as an SDG Ambassador is to further enhance the Youth participation in achieving the 17 SDG goals through collaborative efforts with the Kano Emirate and beyond. To also promote NASFAT Youths initiatives across the Globe, and to ensure an increase in the visibility and support for the Youth activities.
Highlight of the event was the decoration of HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as an ambassador for the NASFAT Youth SDG project, symbolizing his role in supporting Youth aspirations for a better future.
