Moses Armstrong, Nollywood actor, was arrested for allegedly raping 16-year-old girl

Moses Armstrong, a well-known Nollywood actor and singer, was apprehended by Akwa Ibom State Police Command officers for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl.
The national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed his detention during a discussion and described the case as “extremely severe.”

Martha Udom Emmanuel, the state’s First Lady, is overseeing it through her Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative, he said.

The indictment was a sad event, according to the AGN president, because it included one of their own.

He did say, however, that such a crime would be unacceptable to the organisation.

“I and the organisation I represent would not support being engaged with a youngster as young as 16 years old.”

“This is a very unfortunate development regarding one of our members,” he said.

Armstrong was a Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State till his incarceration.

In 2018, he lost Rita Armstrong, his wife and coworker.

Rita died of spinal cord damage acquired in an accident, according to sources.

On Saturday, February 3, 2018, the mother of two was driving back from Lagos to her husband’s home in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
