The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulated Senator Philip Aduda (PDP FCT) on his election as Senate Minority Leader.
In a statement issued Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, the PDP said Senator Aduda’s emergence demonstrates the party’s and his colleagues’ confidence in his long legislative experience.
The opposition party expressed hope and charged Senator Aduda with using the qualities that earned him the position to strengthen his commitment as a strong voice for legislative independence.
It urged the newly appointed Senate Minority Leader to continue upholding the democratic tenets of the Rule of Law and protecting the people’s interests and well-being.
“Senator Aduda’s selection as Minority Leader of the Senate could not have come at a better time than this when Nigerians are looking up to the PDP to rescue our nation from the misrule of the All Progressives Congress,” the statement said in part (APC).
“The PDP urges Senator Aduda to exert every effort to ensure that our Party’s National Assembly Caucus remains united and focused on the task ahead.”
“Our party wishes Senator Aduda success as he leads our Senate Caucus.”
