Mass burial of the victims killed in the attack in Ondo Church is scheduled to take place on June 17
The funeral for the forty people who were killed in the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo is scheduled to take place on June 17, 2022, according to the announcement made by the Catholic Diocese of Ondo.
Reverend Fr. Augustine Ikwu, who serves as the Director of Social Communication for the Diocese, stated that the burial would take place at the new cemetery located on Emure Road in Owo.
He stated that the mass burial would take place on Friday in Owo at the new cemetery that the church had recently established.
“The number of deceased worshippers is still at forty, and the injured victims are still being treated at the Federal Medical Center and St. Louis Catholic Church, both in Owo, as well as in other private hospitals in the state,” he added. “The injured victims are still receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center and St. Louis Catholic Church, both in Owo.”
