Man receives 17 months jail time period for snatching telephones in Kano
Abubakar Musa received a 17-month prison term on Tuesday from a Shari’a court in Gama PRP Kano State for stealing two cell phones worth 165,000.00.
Atlanta resident Abubakar Musa is charged with breaking into a home without authorization and committing stealing.
He entered a guilty plea after the prosecutor, Aliyu Abidin Murtala, stated the charges against him in front of the court.
He claimed that when the owner was sleeping at night, a guy broke into the residence and stole two cell phones valued at $265,000.
The prosecutor requested that the court weigh the evidence before making a decision, and the court agreed.

As a result, Justice Mallam Nura Yusuf Ahmad gave him a five-month prison term for breaking into a home and a one-year prison term for theft.
