LG Poll 2025: Fadu Community Engages APC Chairmanship Candidate, Aare Taoheed,Seeks Developmental Projects

It was an engaging session when the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA),Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo(TAT) visited the Fadu community on Saturday 5, July 2025.
In furtherance of his engagement with Coalition of Community Development Associations (CDAs)Aare Taiwo unveiled his development-focused agenda in the build -up to the July 12 LG elections in Lagos State.

The residents of Fadu Community Development Associations,who trooped enmass to welcome the Chairmanship candidate,his Vice Chairmanships candidate and members of his team, presented to him several demands that they are expecting him to execute when if he is eventually elected at the poll, while also pledging their support.
In his address, the CDA ward chairman,Mr Onyebose Niyi Odeyinka,appreciated the candidate for the visit, and reaffirmed the community’s continued support for him.
He went further to make a passionate appeal for the rehabilitation of roads, like rayafolarewo linking lanfewa road,Coker drainage gutter down to NNPC,Awoyemi street drainage, provision of street lights in Coker road,NNPC road and Rafiu Tijani street while pledged massive electoral support.
The CDC chairman,Prof Jelili Atiku thanked the party for recognizing the CDC/CDAs as all the six Councilorship candidates are executives in their various ward.While pledging the support of the CDC/CDAs towards the forthcoming July 12 election,he urge the people to come out enmass with their voters card and vote for the All Progressive Congress candidates in Ejigbo LCDA.
Adding his voice, the incumbent chairman of Ejigbo LCDA,Hon Monsurudeen Bello advised the people to always pray and support the APC Chairmanships candidate if elected as governance of local government involves collective decision making and participation from various stakeholders noting that effective governance requires long term commitment, strategic planning and sustained efforts.
Obe,called on the APC Chairmanships candidate to focus more on road infrastructure, welfare of the people and economic development, emphasizing that these key areas would significantly impact the lives of citizen and the overall progress of the community.
” I can tell you for free, what the people of Ejigbo know is roads infrastructure,their welfare and economic development,if you can do this, the people of Ejigbo will honor you”
The Chairman appeal to the people to vote for APC, emphasizing that continuity in governance would be beneficial for the community.
He assured them of their safety, highlighting the security measures put in place in collaboration with security agencies to ensure a free and fair election conducted by LASIEC.
In response, the APC candidate,Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo expressed gratitude for Fadu’s consistent support for the party, stating that, “Your votes have always been massive, and we do not take them for granted”.
Aare Taiwo said working with the CDC/ CDA’s will ensure regular receipt and management of feedback, collaboration, and sustained progress across all communities, noting that he will run an inclusive government.
Flanked by his Vice Chairmanship candidate,Councilorship Candidate of Fadu ward,Hon Fatai Obe and all 5 other APC Councillorship candidates, TAT reeled out his Seven-Point Manifesto before a hall filled with key stakeholders, promising inclusive governance, people-centric service delivery, and renewed attention to community infrastructure.
He assured the 8 wards in Fadu that there request would be look into when elected into office, appealing to them to go and canvass for more votes from the people,tell them more about progress already put in place by the incumbent chairman of Ejigbo LCDA,Hon Monsurudeen Bello.
” The only way I can look into all these seven points request that you have made is for you to go out there, canvass for the party, come out enmass and vote for APC, only and after this that your request would be given a smooth ride” he submitted.
Investigator news reports that those in attendance include the incumbent chairman, Hon Monsurudeen Bello,the APC party chairman,Alhaji Fatai Kasumu – APC Chairman, Ejigbo LG,Prof. Jelili Atiku(CDC Chairman),Barr. Abimbola(CDC Secretary),ward executives,Chief Bayo Okunola, along with leaders of all in Fadu ward,Hon Saliu Adegun(Fadu ward chairman and C of C ward chairmen), women, youths among others.
Investigator news reports that in a bid to strengthen more ties with the community,the campaign team also visited the Apana landlord association where the Chairman of the association, Prince Adeniyi Adedeji urge the APC flagbearer to honor and reconsider a previous commitment made to the incumbent chairman which would greatly benefit the community,if elected.
Prince Adedeji noted that the community is in dire need of a convoy road which leads from Apana junction to Fatuse,also assist them with street lights in the area.
He also made a passionate appeal that the youths in the community be given job opportunities, highlighting the importance of empowering the next generation.
Also, the Chairman hopeful received a campaign souvenir from Abule Base association led by its chairman,Mr.Azeez Yekini A.k.a. Ola Fathia.
Aare Taoheed thanked the people especially Ola Fathia for the souvenir and support giving to him and members of his team while assuring them that during his tenure,Ejigbo community would experience proactive development and infrastructure.
Speaking with investigator news,Mr Azeez stated that he decided to support Hon TAT, citing his admiration for the incumbent chairman Hon Monsurudeen Bello who has made significant impact on the Ejigbo community.
” I am not a politician, neither am I into politics but because of the antecedents of the incumbent chairman whose tenure will soon elapse,I decided to support and present souvenir to the APC Chairmanships candidate and members of his team as a way of encouragement and I want to assure him that come July 12,l will rally and deliver 200 votes for him come July 12 “he stated.
Investigator news gathered that other places visited by the campaign team include NATA base, Grand Imam of Fadu ward and Baba Arikewulo home.
The event was not just political—it was strategic. CDAs expressed renewed trust in TAT’s candidacy, affirming their readiness to support all APC candidates in the July 12 elections,as children of Fadu ward staged the APC Chairmanships candidate and his team until he gave them exercise books and caps .
