The All Progressive Congress candidate for Ejigbo LCDA,Hon Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT)has paid an official visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr.Moruf Adisa Ojoola,Imakiyo 1, Oojon of Ejigbo and Ijan land to receives royal blessings and pay homage to the revered traditional leader.
Hon Taoheed who was welcomed by His Royal Majestic noted that the essence of his visit was to seek royal blessings and to make him know that he has been elected under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC)to contest for the Chairmanship position of Ejigbo LCDA.
The Chairmanship Candidate went further to assure the monarch of his plan to serve selflessly and diligently.
Hon Taiwo who was accompanied to the palace by prominent leaders of the party, members of his campaign team, youths among others expressed appreciation to the monarch for his invaluable contributions to the development of his domain and Lagos State in general.
He stated that the royal blessings would solidifies his position as the candidate of the people, with traditional legitimacy reinforcing his campaign’s momentum.
Hon TAT assured the monarch that he would prioritise provision and enhancement of basic social amenities such as more road infrastructure, primary healthcare and education facilities, among others,describing these as the bedrock of a thriving local government.
The APC chairmanship candidate noted the importance of youth empowerment and regular community engagement, said he would introduce skill acquisition programmes, support for small businesses and inclusive governance to ensure fairness and equal share of dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of Ejigbo LCDA
Responding Oba Dr.Moruf Adisa Ojoola,who is a respected voice in Ejigbo’s socio-political landscape,openly commended Hon Taiwo’s consistency, accessibility, and dedication to community development.
In his remarks, the monarch assured Hon Taiwo of the palace’s blessings and mobilization of traditional support, noting that Ejigbo needs a pragmatic leader who understands local realities and a goal getter like TAT.
The monarch who expressed his delight at Taiwo’s visit affirmed his emergence as the candidate of the ruling APC in the July 12 council polls.
He offered heartfelt prayers for TAT’s victory at the polls and success at the saddle urging him to honour his social contract with the good people of Ejigbo LCDA.
Oba Moruf Adisa advised Hon Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo to ensure, when he gets to office, he executes developmental projects that will outlive the incumbent administration projects and reposition Ejigbo LCDA as a model council area in the state.
Investigator news reports that the visit, beyond tradition, was a calculated political engagement aimed at strengthening grassroots alliances as the meeting signals a unification of political and traditional forces rallying behind TAT’s vision for accountable and development-driven leadership in Ejigbo LCDA.
