Lagos APC, Igbo Community, Pay Tribute At Service Of Songs For Late Hon.Anselem Udoka Echekwu (Orobo Aregbe).

The Lagos Chapter of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress(APC), the Igbo community, Ndigbo in APC, town union,a host of friends, and lots of people from all walks of life converged in Lagos at Ajeromi lfelodun LGA to an event: a night of tributes in memory of Hon Anselem Udoka Echekwu (Orobo Aregbe) who died on the 20th of January, 2025.
Investigator news reports that Hon Orobo Aregbe who died at the age of 40 lived an impactful and eventful life touching many lives within the short time he lived,as he arrayed distinctive qualities while alive, marking a threshold in industry, selflessness and vibrancy in all areas he served.
Stakeholders including the Apex leader of Ndigbo in APC,Hon Joe lgbokwe, President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, State Coordinator Ndigbo in APC, Chief Chris Ekwilo,Hon Grace Okere(Councilor Ejigbo LCDA),Hon Kanayo Osond(Councilor lsolo LCDA),Hon Ifeoma Anele(Councilor Ajeromi lfelodun LGA),Lady Ann Nkoli Ogwueleka(APC State Exco),Hon Esther Anah(Organizing Secretary Ndigbo in APC), Ambassador Stella Akigwe(Deputy State woman leader, Ndigbo in APC),Hon Chief Mrs Catherine Chukwunko(BOT Member APC),Hon Nkemigwe(former Vice chairman),Hon Ugoeze Vivian Sunshine Obi Showered praises on Hon Udoka Echekwu
Other dignitaries at the event included:Hon Obinna Ugwu,Mr Oleribe Udoka Gabriel, Chief John Ukwuoma(Assistant PRO Ndigbo in APC,Hon Saheed Ajao Ojara(APC Chairmanship Aspirant Ajeromi lfelodun LGA)Eze Nwachukwu(lgbo 1),Eze Valentine Ezeugo(Eze Ndigbo in Ajeromi lfelodun LGA),Eze Ernest Anenechukwu Oli (Eze Ndigbo of lfelodun LCDA)and other traditional rulers, Chief Uche Babatata, among others attended the event.
Reminiscenting on the live and time of this young, jolly good fellow, the apex leader.of Ndigbo in APC,Hon Joe Igbokwe describe the late Orobo Aregbe as a strong pillar,a trailblazer, committed to lgbo unity, stating that he would be remembered for his self sacrifice to lgbo course.
Hon Igbokwe while praying for the family,ask God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
His Excellency,Rauf Aregbesola who was represented by his personal assistant Hon Sola Okiki in his tribute described him as a consummate politician and businessman stating that his death at 40 was a huge loss of unquantifiable magnitude to the family, Lagos State and Igbo Community in Lagos in particular.
” Orobo Aregbe as he is fondly called is a loyal man and friendly. We are not happy because he did not wait to eat the fruit of his labor,he is someone that has worked for the party and the Aregbesola family as a whole,he has paid his dues and will be greatly missed by all”
The State Coordinator Ndigbo in APC, Chief Chris Ekwilo said that Hon Udoka is a man of many parts,a radical and practical political analyst. He said that the deceased is described as a true face of lgbo nation who genuinely fought for the unity of Ndigbo in APC in Lagos State.
Those who also pay their tribute include the President Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene noted that that the demise of Hon Anselem Udoka Echekwu is a blow to the people of Ndigbo because he is a fine gentleman who sees Ndigbo unity as a project that must succeed.
“Orobo Aregbe is someone that stands for justice,he always stands for the truth,APC Lagos State will greatly miss him, though he is stubborn but he uses it to achieve his aim”
Chief Aguene went further to appeal to Ndigbo in Lagos to use the demise of Orobo Aregbe to come together as one, knowing fully well that Orobo Aregbe is a preacher of peace.
Speaking with investigator news,one of the close friend to Orobo Aregbe,Mr Oleribe Gabriel Udoka opined that he has lost a confident and a brother, noting that the deceased has always been there for him through his contacts.
” I feel devastated on hearing that Orobo Aregbe is no more, through him I have been able to solve some challenges facing my business especially when the need arise. He is someone who will always put smile on you,he is a brother, a friend and a straight forward person,l will greatly miss him.”
Also, the Councilor Ajeromi lfelodun LGA, Chief Mrs Ifeoma Anele stated that Hon Udoka was a versatile person and determined as he does not bear grudges with any person for anything.
Hon Anele who is the deputy leader of Ajeromi lfelodun legislative council went further to appeal to Ndigbo in Lagos to always mind the way they talk, stating that Udoka was so loyal and dedicated to the extent of winning the hearts of the yoruba people as she described the yoruba people as peace loving individuals who are ready to work with Ndigbo, while praying for God to grant the family grace to bear this loss.
The Eze Ndigbo of Ajeromi lfelodun LGA ,Eze Valentine Ezeugo describe Hon Udoka as a reliable personality, very positive in everything he does.
“It is unfortunate that it has to be this way,we cannot question God because Orobo Aregbe as he is fondly called is someone that you can rely on, very determined and positive in his words and he is ready to encourage you to the fullest. I will greatly miss him and I pray for his family for God to give them the grace ”
His counterpart,Eze Sir Ernest Anenechukwu Oli,the Eze Ndigbo in lfelodun LCDA describe him as a true friend who always fight for the unity of Ndigbo in Lagos State,he noted that he would be remembered as a man who has a vision for himself and Ndigbo in general and would always achieve it,his doggedness in politics while praying that God grant his soul eternal rest.
Kester Echekwu,(3rd born) and senior brother to Hon Anselem Udoka Echekwu who spoke on behalf of the family stated that the demise of their brother is a colossal loss to the family noting that he used his expertise to contribute immensely to the growth of the family.
” He was a companion,we have lost a rare Orobo Aregbe is a person that has big dreams and goals and one of his dreams is that he loves education ”
“Due to his benevolence spirit,he is loved and cherished by all,he is someone that whenever you call on him,he will be there to attend to you even in the middle of the night”he submitted
Earlier the presiding pastor of Gate of Glory Deliverance Ministry, Apostle Elizabeth Azubuike urged the people to learn from Hon Anselem Udoka Echekwu’s death, saying everybody will die at an appointed time,no matter how great, connected or influential you are,so you must be good to humanity.
Apostle Azubuike who spoke on the topic “Unveiling the secret of life” took her text from the book of Ecclesiastics 3:1 appeal to the people to make their life right with God as no man knows the day ,he/she will answer its call as Orobo Aregbe has done.
Investigator news gathered that the Late Hon Anselem Udoka Echekwu (Orobo Aregbe) would be laid to rest on the 8th of March,2025 in his country home,Ngor Okpala in lmo state
