The Kogi State government, under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has transformed the state into a massive construction site with numerous landmark projects across various sectors.
According to Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Commissioner for Information and Communications, these projects demonstrate the administration’s commitment to sustainable development and improving the lives of Kogites
Fanwo, in a press statement on Friday 5, September 2025,highlighted the completion of the Audit House, one of the biggest in the country, which is now set for commissioning.

According to him, the government has also embarked on extensive road projects across the state, many of which are being executed by the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA).
He noted that Governor Ododo’s infrastructure drive is equally evident in the education sector, where massive facilities are being developed at Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) and its Teaching Hospital, as well as the Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital and the newly established Kogi State University, Kabba.
“In education, healthcare, roads, and housing, Governor Ododo has left no one in doubt about his determination to change the face of Kogi State through infrastructure,”
“What we are witnessing is a clear testimony of a leader committed to laying solid foundations for sustainable development.”Fanwo stated
The Commissioner assured that the administration will continue to prioritize projects that directly improve the lives of Kogites and strengthen the state’s economic base.
“When you embark on massive infrastructural development, you reap multiple benefits. You create an environment for economic prosperity and wealth among the population rendering services to the construction works”, he said.
Fanwo emphasized that the administration’s focus on infrastructure development has created an environment for economic prosperity and wealth among the population.
He opined that the Governor has improved revenue made possible by the revolutionary reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,as the people of Kogi State are benefiting from improved access to education for all,better healthcare facilities and services and educed food prices across the state.

The Commissioner went further to praise Governor Ododo’s determination to change the face of Kogi State through infrastructure development,also commending the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for laying a solid foundation that his successor is building upon.
