The Bunu Women Development Forum (BWDF) has thrown its weight behind Hon. Towonifinni Mosiko for the Kabba/Bunu State Constituency seat in the 2027 Kogi State House of Assembly election.

In a press statement released to newsmen on Sunday 15, February 2026,the Coordinator of the Forum, stated that Mosiko has demonstrated exceptional leadership during her days as the first female National President of the Bunu Students Union, as well as grassroots mobilisation, and legislative leadership at the Kabba/Bunu Legislative Council.

The statement reads, “As a forum committed to community development, inclusive governance, and the advancement of women in leadership, we recognise Hon. Mosiko as a tested and trusted leader whose record of service reflects competence, compassion, and capacity.”

“Her journey from student leadership as the first female National President of the Bunu Students Union, to grassroots mobilisation, and ultimately legislative leadership at the Kabba/Bunu Legislative Council, demonstrates not aspiration alone, but experience built on service and measurable impact.”

“The Forum’s endorsement is also in line with the spirit and objectives of the proposed Special Seats Reserved Bill, which seeks to strengthen women’s participation in governance and correct the long-standing imbalance in political representation.”

“Nigeria cannot achieve equitable development without deliberate inclusion of women in decision-making spaces. Hon. Mosiko represents the kind of prepared, experienced, and community-rooted leadership that gives true meaning to that reform.”

The forum went further to call on Kabba/Bunu citizens to support Mosiko’s candidacy, saying her leadership is crucial for the constituency’s growth.

“Her candidacy is therefore not symbolic but necessary. We therefore call on community leaders, youth groups, women associations, political stakeholders and all well-meaning citizens, to rally behind Hon. Towonifinni Mosiko in the 2027 elections.”she submitted
