Jakande’s Security Task Force Nabs Suspected Cable Vandal.

In a decisive move against infrastructure sabotage, the Security Task Force established by the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Seyi Jakande, apprehended a suspected cable vandal at the Ogunmokun Bridge in the early hours of Tuesday, February 3,2026.

The arrest was made during a routine patrol, when operatives intercepted the suspect allegedly tampering with public cables.

Investigator news reports that the individual has since been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Jakande reaffirmed his administration’s zero tolerance for vandalism, stressing that the protection of public infrastructure remains a top priority.

He assured residents that his government is committed to safeguarding lives and property, while ensuring that essential services are not disrupted by criminal activity.

Jakande went further to urge members of the community to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities, noting that collective responsibility is key to preserving public assets.
