Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA,Hon. Seyi Jakande has commiserated with Vice Chairman Hon. Gbeminiyi Awodogan on the death of his father, Chief Solomon Akinyele.
In a condolences message signed and released by his Media handlers,Hon Jakande described the late chief as a revered patriarch and pillar of strength, praising his legacy of honour and resilience.
“Chief Akinyele’s departure is a painful blow. He was more than a father—he was a revered patriarch, a wellspring of wisdom, and a pillar of strength. ”
“His life of mentorship and devotion is reflected in the integrity and public service of his son, Hon. Awodogan.”
“On behalf of the council, management, staff, and the people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA,I extend heartfelt condolences to my brother and colleague, Hon. Gbeminiyi Awodogan, Vice Chairman of our council, on the passing of his beloved father, Chief Solomon Akinyele, today, Thursday, February 5.”

In the same vein,Vice Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA,Hon. Gbeminiyi Awodogan has earlier announce the passing away of their father,Chief Solomon Akinyele.
In a release signed by Hon Gbeminiyi ,the Awodogan-Akinyele family stated that Chief Solomon Akinyele passed away on Feb 5, 2026.
According to the family,funeral rites will be announced later.
The family also requests prayers for the repose of his soul and comfort for the bereaved.
