Hon. Seyi Jakande, the proactive local council Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, has made significant progress in enhancing education with the successful conclusion of the Back-to-School Initiative on Friday, Oct 17.

Launched at the beginning of this current academic year, the initiative aimed to equip students for the new school term.

As part of this program, every primary school pupil in the 28 public primary schools of the LCDA, including the special need school, received essential supplies, with each pupil receiving a school backpack filled with stationery and books early on Friday morning.

The distributions were done simultaneously across all the schools, leaving none behind.

In tandem with the completion of the Back-to-School programme, Jakande also took time to inspect ongoing road construction projects on Adegboyega Street. This inspection highlighted his commitment to improving the infrastructure of the LCDA and enhancing community connectivity.

By engaging with residents during the inspection, Jakande gathered valuable insights into how ongoing developments are impacting their lives.

Through upgrades to roads and pathways, he aims to facilitate easier access to schools, markets, and essential services—further enriching the community’s infrastructure.
