Hon. Seyi Jakande, Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, has taken a proactive step towards addressing environmental concerns in Ilupeju.

Accompanied by his Vice Chairman,his team of councillors, and the Chief of Staff, Jakande led a comprehensive walkthrough of Ilupeju road, engaging with local building contractors and roadside mechanics to discuss pressing issues affecting the area

Jakande raised alarms over the alarming accumulation of refuse, which poses health risks to residents and contributes to environmental degradation, emphasizing that these issues not only pose health risks to residents but also contribute to the degradation of the environment.

Investigator news reports that the presence of abandoned vehicles was another major concern highlighted by Jakande.

He stressed that ensuring a clean and safe environment is a collective responsibility, requiring residents to work together to tackle environmental challenges.

The areas visited includes Ibadan Street,Muftau Street,Ajegunle Street,Owodunni Street,Shobayo Street,Oladiti Street,Ajagba Street and Olajubu Street.
