One significant issue affecting public administration in the nation is dishonesty, according to Adewale Egbedun, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly.
The 8th state Assembly Speaker, who is 38, told journalists in Osogbo on Thursday that some of his detractors had underestimated him because of his youth.
“I’m a young man, and I want to show everyone that they’re wrong about how undervalued I am. I have a moral obligation to disprove my detractors. It is a privilege to be here, and I will do my best. I’ll do everything in my power to make the 8th Assembly the best one this state, and if I can, Nigeria, has ever seen.
“Infidelity is Nigeria’s biggest issue. I want to prioritise being as open and honest as I can. I promise to be open and honest with the state and all honourable members. I promise to be trustworthy and available, Egbedun said.
Additionally, he pledged to use the large number of young people in the Assembly to the governor’s advantage in order to help him implement his five-point agenda.
“I have a lot of plans, and fortunately for me, the 8th Assembly is made up of about 75% of young people. The 8th Assembly will be the best in Osun State’s history because we have the youthful energy and are prepared to work together, according to the Speaker.
