Hon. Seyi Jakande, Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA,on Tuesday 17, February 2026,has successfully defended his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) thesis at Lagos State University (LASU).

The defence marks a milestone in Jakande’s academic journey, showcasing his expertise in Project Management.

The defence, held at LASU’s Faculty of Management Sciences, was graced by dignitaries and council officials.

Speaking after the defence, Hon. Jakande expressed gratitude to God, his family, and the LASU academic community for their support throughout the rigorous process.

“This achievement is not mine alone. It is a testament to resilience, sacrifice, and the belief that leadership must be grounded in knowledge.”

“I dedicate this milestone to the people of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, whose trust and encouragement continue to inspire me,” Hon. Jakande said.

Investigator news reports that the successful defence position Hon. Jakande closer to the formal conferment of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree, pending final approval by the university senate.

Community leaders and residents have hailed the accomplishment as a source of pride, noting that it reflects the Chairman’s commitment to excellence both in governance and academia.

Investigator news gathered that those who accompanied the chairman to the University include his Vice Chairman, Hon. Niyi Awodogan; Council Manager, Ms. Ogabi Folaremi; Leader of the House, Hon. Lekan Adeyi alongside other councillors from the LCDA.

Also present were his Chief of Staff, Mr. Taiwo Ogungbe, and members of his media team, who joined in celebrating the Chairman’s academic feat.
