Hon. Okey-Joe Urges Works Minister To Accelerate Construction Of Mushin-NNPC Ejigbo Road.

Member representing Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency 11, Lagos State, Barr. Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, has urged the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to intervene on the sluggish pace of construction work on the Mushin -NNPC-Ejigbo road.
Hon Onuakalusi who frowned at the project which commenced in 2023, stating that despite the presence of contractors and workers at the site,the progress remains uncertain.
He made the urge in a release he signed and made available to journalists in Lagos State, recently.
According to him, “as a member of the House Committee on Works and FEMMA, I am deeply committed to ensuring the timely completion of this project. I am compelled to bring to your attention the sluggish pace of construction work on the Mushin -NNPC-Ejigbo road in Lagos State, which commenced in 2023.

“Notwithstanding, the presence of the contractor and workers on the site, the project’s progress remains uncertain and its completion within the specified timeframe is in jeopardy. The project appears to be experiencing a lack of meaningful progress, characterized by motion without movement”.
“Therefore, I respectfully implore the Minister of Works to accord the necessary attention to the said road, with a view to ensuring its completion within the stipulated timeline.
The legislator who further requested a prompt response to his request mentioned that it is imperative to address the issue concerning progress of the project.
