Governor Soludo Appoints Christopher Molokwu As MD ABS,Chuka Nnabuife As MD Civic And Social Reformation Office.

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has approved the replacement of Mr. Chido Obidiegwu as the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) with the appointment of Mr. Christopher Osemedua Molokwu, as the new Managing Director of ABS. The new appointment takes immediate effect

Mr. Molokwu who hails from Delta State brings to the role a wealth of experience as a seasoned media practitioner and an accomplished broadcaster with a demonstrated history of excellence in the media production industry.

His career spans over 16 years, during which he has garnered vast expertise in strategic planning, customer service, event management, and social media.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Molokwu served as the Programs Manager at Wazobia FM Onitsha and as Head of Sports at Steam Broadcasting Limited (96.9 Cool FM).

Investigator news reports that he is a product of the University of Benin, where he earned a degree in English Language and Literature, Mr. Molokwu is a member of the Institute of Disaster Management and Control, as well as an Associate Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

His leadership and professional skills in media management, community engagement, and social services make him well-positioned to lead ABS into a new era of growth and innovation.

Governor Soludo thanked Mr. Obidiegwu for his services as the former MD of ABS and wishing him well in his future endeavours, Mr Governor also commends the new MD to key into the administration’s vision of transforming Anambra into a livable and prosperous state.

In another development,Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo also approved the appointment of Mr. Chuka Ikechukwu Nnabuife as the Managing Director of the Civic and Social Reformation Office.

This appointment is part of Governor Soludo’s commitment to fostering civic responsibility, social reform, and cultural advancement in the state.

Mr. Nnabuife brings an impressive pedigree spanning over 35 years in journalism, media administration, and the arts. A journalist of international repute, Nnabuife is a Fellow of both the Nigerian Guild of Editors (FNGE) and the Society of Nigerian Artists (FSNA).

His dynamic career has taken him across all continents, except Australia, as he continues to promote societal discourse through media, community leadership, and his wide-ranging artistic ventures.

A prolific writer and author of nine books, including co-authoring two, Mr. Nnabuife has also directed and produced two films, leaving an indelible mark on the Nigerian art and media landscape. His remarkable career is punctuated by over 40 awards and recognitions, attesting to his innovative approach to media and communication.

Mr. Nnabuife holds a Master of Science in Media and Communication from Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, specialising in Media Enterprise. His academic journey also includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Calabar, a Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja, and a Higher National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. He further pursued professional certification from the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Nigeria.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Nnabuife served as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation from July 2018 to September 2023, and the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of National Light Newspaper from July 2014 to June 2018, among other notable editorial positions.

A knight of the St. John International Order of the Roman Catholic Church, Mr. Nnabuife’s leadership and expertise are expected to significantly impact civic and social reformation efforts across Anambra State.

Governor Soludo went further to congratulates Mr. Nnabuife on his new role and expresses confidence in his ability to drive meaningful reforms that will enhance the cultural and social fabric of our state.
