Free Medical Outreach: lrisville Chapel Lagos Provides Free Medical Treatment To Over 200 Residents ln llupeju.

No fewer than 200 persons benefited from a free medical outreach organized by lrisville Chapel llupeju, Lagos.  The free medical outreach which took place at the llupeju Recreation Hall on Thursday 17, October 2024 offered a range services including blood pressure test, blood glucose test,BMI, Malaria test, Cholesterol test, Neuropathy test,Eye screening and free glasses, Hepatitis B screening,HlV test and free medication.

The leader of the team,Dr Olusegun Olutoyin Aganga said that the annual free medical outreach, which started over 4 years ago to break inequality in the healthcare system was part of its commitment to providing accessible, quality, and affordable healthcare to communities.

Dr Aganga went further to state that the lrisville Chapel which has branches cut across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt,London and Canada aim is to give back to the society by demonstrating that love that Christ preached about for each other, stating that the lrisville Chapel llupeju decided to support the less privileged to those who can’t afford the regular medical check up.

He said, lrisville Chapel llupeju is a church with a difference as we have been organizing free medical outreach to people within and outside llupeju because we believe that health is wealth, though some of us are privileged to have our regular check and this is why we don’t fall sick easily but for these ones they don’t have enough resources to always have the regular checkup. So we decided to support in our own little way so as to help them check their health status once in a year and this is our fourth edition.

” This is not about church but it is about the people and the less privileged because I have found out that a lot of them suffer from hypertension, diabetes, and others, with that,we decided to bring this to their doorstep”he stated

Dr Olusegun Aganga who was a Former Minister for lndustry,Trade and lnvestment (2011-2015) urges Nigerians to always have a regular check up so as to check their health status, noting that it is important to know more about their health.

Speaking to newsmen,Mr Bode Dinyo noted that the Church which is over 53years old is known for service to humanity and caring for those in need.

He opined that the church believe that health is wealth, with that decided to render free medical check up and doctors that will advise the residents within and outside llupeju, while advising individuals to always have a routine check up once in a year.

Mrs Oluwunmi Ajakaiye a member of lrisville Chapel stated that the essence of the free medical check up is to share love to the people around as their own little way of impacting lives in the society.

Mrs Ajakaiye pointed out that lrisville Chapel teaches about “brothers keeper” and how to love one another, noting that the Chapel is like a school that teaches individuals who they are, where are they coming from,why are they here on earth and what is expected of them,to be a better person,to be Christ conscious so that we can be like him because we don’t discriminate.

Lending his voice,Mr Dickson Uwegwue describe lrisville Chapel as a church that demonstrates the teachings of the bible, which is attending to the less privileged and giving freely back to the society “love your neighbor”which Christ did when he was on earth.

“It is not that the chapel is buoyant but we are trying to demonstrate the teachings of Christ and to follow his footsteps. The program is open to all and sundry because God almighty created every one equally and in his own image;so we don’t care if you are a Christian,Moslem or Hindu worshipper,we in lrisville Chapel is here to worship God and Keep one of his commandments which is what we are doing today by giving out free medical care to the people of llupeju “he submitted.

One of the beneficiary,Mr Ahmed Biodun thanked the Chapel for such initiative by giving to the society, stating that it would help in making people to know more about their health status

” I want to commend the lrisville Chapel because l have been longing to have my eyes checked but no money but l have been tested,my eyes checked and l was given a free eye glass. May God continue to bless them,he stated.

Mrs Folashade Akinola also commended the chapel, saying that she was well attended to and her body checked which include her blood pressure, sugar level and malaria test and was given some drugs free of charge, including snacks to take home with.

Investigator news reports that over 200 persons were attended to in various health related issues and were given drugs and advice on how to keep a good healthy life,as those who attended include artisans, market men and women, educationist and lawma workers.
