Fake Govt Officials Busted In Ejigbo Extortion Racket.

Three imposters posing as Lagos State revenue officers have been arrested for extorting ₦128,000 from a motorist in Ejigbo.
The suspects,Oke from Enugu State, Adepoju and Bello from Osun State used fake identity cards and claimed to be Task Force officers.

Investigator news reports the suspects allegedly intercepted a motorist driving along Henry Ajomale Street, beside Ejigbo LCDA when he was accosted., falsely claiming to be Task Force officers attached to Alimosho Local Government.

The victim was intimidated and forced to pay ₦128,000 under false pretences before the fraud was uncovered.
The Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) investigated and confirmed the suspects were not authorized government officers.
“All suspects were traced and arrested through intelligence-led operations and are currently in custody as investigations continue.”says LNSC officials .

Investigator news gathered that the government has warned residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity within Ejigbo to the appropriate quarters.
