Two decades and three years of matrimony to some couple might seem like magic, especially in the traditional setting where marriages have assumed different meaning going by recent trend. But for the Chairman Council of Ndieze Lagos state,Eze Ambassador Chika .C. Nwokedi twenty three years in marriage has given him reason to renew his vow to love his wife Ugoeze Pastor Tessy Nwokedi and reminisce on these years together as husband and wife.
To mark the anniversary of their wedding today, August 25,2024 the Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun/ljedodo took to social media to celebrate his beloved wife, Pastor Tessy. According to the revered monarch used the occasion to thank God Almighty for 23 years of love, companionship, and commitment, they have shared, while praising God for his many blessings and memories they have created together.
In one of his updates on his social media handle, Eze Nwokedi posted a picture of himself and his wife, with the caption: 23 years of marriage, August 25,2001, saying “Lord, we ask that You continue to bless our union with many more years of celebration. As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:12, “A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” May You be our third strand in our marriage, strengthening our bond and providing us with unity and harmony.”
Father, we pray for forgiveness and restoration in our marriage. Help us to forgive each other as You have forgiven us, and to walk in love and understanding,as Colossians 3:13 reminds us, “bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so you also do.”he said
Thanking his wife for her love and everything, Eze Chika Nwokedi noted that “Today, the 25th of August 2024, I celebrate 2 decades and three years of being called your husband by renewing my vow to love you with all my soul and to be the best man I can be. Thank you for giving everything you are and more. Happy wedding anniversary my queen…”
