Eze Ndigbo ln Amuwo Odofin/Festac,Eze Chukwuka Raises Alarm Over Plot To Smear His Name For Speaking Against The Protest.

……Urges the faceless group to desist or face the wrath of the law.

The Eze Ndigbo of Amuwo Odofin and Festac Town,Eze Prosper has raised alarm over plans by some disgruntled elements to smear his image for advising Igbos in Lagos not to join today’s hunger protest.

Speaking to Journalists in his palace,on Wednesday,31st July,2024,Eze Chukwuka lamented that his noble efforts to call for the maintenance of peace in the country has been hijacked by some ill-intentioned people who have concluded plans to publicize his name negatively.

Eze Chukwuka warned the faceless group against peddling lies and blackmail against his personality for reasons best known to them.

He said,”it has come to my knowledge on a negative and damaging report about me that l was arraigned by a magistrate court here in lagos over charges bothering kidnapping,armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms and stealing of household properties valued at over N62 million naira belonging to one Hon Ebere Udenze which is being circulated”

“From all indications, there appears to be a clear and present plan to attack, vilify and tarnish the image of my personality that l have built for years”

“I would have ignored the said report but because of the lies being carried out by the faceless report,l wish to make this clarification that such report is from the pit of hell and should be disregarded as l was and would not be associated to such defamatory act or statement”

I am a lover of peace and l strongly believe that the present government should be give more plans to improve the condition of things in the country.
“Ndigbo and Nigerians at large should therefore, exercise patience and allow their good initiatives to be brought to fruition than embarking on protest that may turn bloody.

“It is very unfortunate that some evil doers who are hell bent on truncating our democracy have concluded plans to smear and call me names just because I spoke the truth by appealing to my lgbo brothers and sisters and the good people of Festac not to participate in the forthcoming protest slated to hold on the 1st of August to August 10.They have paid some faceless online group who claimed to be Journalists to concoct and spin lies against my person with a view to making people ignore my plea for peace in the country.”

Eze Chukwuka who is known for his philanthropy and goes with the tilte”Eze Omeiheukwu ” noted that as a custodian of lgbo culture and traditions,he would remain focused and single minded in his determination to serve and speak the truth for his people to the best of his ability and bring about the necessary change, rather being involved on issues that would tarnish him and bring shame to his family and to the entire lgbos in Festac and Amuwo Odofin.

“It is on record that l have empowered over 1000 people in my jurisdiction, sponsored and still sponsoring indigent students by paying their school fees and and registering them in Waec and JAMB, assisted the widows and setting up businesses for them,so with all this, will l stoop so low in tarnishing the image l have built for years,to me it is just jealousy.

“I will also use this opportunity to call on good people of Festac and Amuwo and hardworking Ndigbo to ignore their antic and work harder for prosperity.”

” l am sorry to say that the so called reporter is already complicit, cooking up stories with jejune and unsubstantiated allegations, all to sow seeds of discord and discontent in the eyes of the people in Festac and Amuwo Odofin and the entire Ndigbo because of the money giving to the faceless online media. The publication is so funny that they Photoshop my picture where their enemies is on handcuffs with a fake name that l don’t bear (Eze Prosper Chukwuemeka lfeatu) while my real name is Prosper Chukwuka,stating that l was being paraded at the court.

“While we want to use this opportunity to alert members of the public and the good people of Festac and Amuwo Odofin about this grand plot, we equally want to urge them to take the lies, fake stories and propaganda with a pinch of salt.”he submitted.

The Eze Ndigbo of Amuwo Odofin and Festac Town,Eze Prosper Chukwuka,Eze Omeiheukwu l of Amuwo Odofin/Festac Town went further to urge the lgbos in Amuwo Odofin/Festac and the entire Igbos in Nigeria not to embark on the planned protest but rather pray and support the leaders of the country so as to fix the economy of the nation.

lnvestigator News gathered that an online platform was procured to launch the campaign of calumny against the Eze Ndigbo of Festac with heavy monetary inducement, placing a photoshoot of his picture with a wrong name (Eze Prosper Chukwuemeka Ifeatu),stating that Eze Prosper Chukwuka and two others have been arraigned before a magistrate court sitting in Ajegunle,Apapa Magistrarial division on charges bothering kidnapping, armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms and stealing of household properties valued at over N62 million naira belonging to one Hon Ebere Udenze.

The report went on to say that the lgbo leader who is known for peace was stripped of all his traditional attire and escorted by heavily armed correctional and custodian officers from kirikiri detention to the magistrate court house along Cardoso road in Ajegunle.

Investigator News also gathered that a petition was written by the Eze Ndigbo of Festac,Eze Prosper Chukwuka to the lnspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun over the faceless group in Festac and Amuwo and the lnspector General have called on the Commissioner of Police Lagos state to quickly wade into the matter and arrest the perpetrators of such publication.
