The Chairman Council of Ndieze in Lagos State,Eze Ambassador C.C. Nwokedi has congratulated Chief Leonard Okafor(Oba Ojoto), on his election as the new President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State
Nwokedi who is a respected Igbo leader in Lagos and Imo State described the April 6, 2026 election as a major milestone for the organization, expressing optimism that the new leadership would usher in peace, unity and progress among Ndigbo in Lagos.
In his congratulatory message, the renowned monarch commended the peaceful conduct of the election, noting that the process was free, fair and credible, while praising the electoral committee led by Mr. Calistus Odoemena for ensuring transparency and fairness, which he said reflected the collective will of members.
Eze Ambassador Nwokedi who is also the Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun and Ijedodo stated that with the conclusion of the election and election of new leaders, it is time for all members to close ranks and work together for the growth and stability of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
He expressed confidence in Oba Ojoto’s leadership ability, noting that his experience and commitment would help reposition the organization and strengthen unity among Ndigbo in Lagos.
He also congratulated other members of the newly elected executives,urging them to support the President and work collectively for the success of the administration.
The monarch went further to commend the immediate Past Presidents Chief Solomon Ognonna and Chief Sunday Ossai for promoting peace and harmony, which contributed to the smooth conduct of the election.
Eze Nwokedi emphasized that the new leadership has a significant responsibility to unite members and restore stability within the organization. He therefore called on all stakeholders to support the new administration and contribute to its success.
He urged members to embrace unity, cooperation and loyalty, stressing that collective effort would help the new leadership achieve its goals and strengthen the organization.
Eze Nwokedi concluded by appealing to members to pray for the success of Oba Ojoto and his team, expressing confidence that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos would witness growth, peace and development under the new leadership.
