The Eze Ndigbo of Amuwo/Festac town,Eze Prosper Chukwuka has commended Ndigbo and residents of Amuwo/Festac town for their calm and orderly conduct during the ongoing nationwide protests.
Eze Chukwuka stated that while other states experienced unrest and violence, Amuwo/Festac and Lagos in general remained a shining example of a peaceful community, especially the Ndigbos who went about their normal business while some remained at home to watch the happenings.
He recognizes the passion and dedication of Ndigbo within his jurisdiction, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a peaceful approach in demanding change.
“Your determination in ensuring that you did not participate in the ongoing protest sends a powerful message to the State and Federal government that constructive dialogue can bring about positive change,” he stated.
Eze Omeiheukwu also commended the indefatigable Governor of Lagos State His Excellency Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu for providing an adequate security, that birthed the peace the citizens are enjoying in the state.
However, the lgbo leader also expresses concern over reports of violence and destruction in other parts of the country.
He urges all citizens to remain vigilant and ensure that their protests remain peaceful and respectful.
“We must not allow a few individuals to undermine the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is working towards a better future and rekindled of his Renewed Hope Agenda, l therefore calls for unity among the citizens, encouraging them to engage in meaningful discussions and dialogue to address their grievances.”he submitted
He emphasizes the importance of working together to find common ground and solutions to the challenges facing the nation.
While urging the Federal government to quickly address the issue of hunger that has bewildered the nation so that peace can once again be restored back to the nation.
