The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Seyi Jakande, has announced the upcoming commissioning of the Lagos State Industrial Leather Hub, scheduled for August 23, 2025.
The event which will be co-hosted with Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe, Chairman of Mushin Local Government,will feature the presence of the First Lady of Nigeria, H.E. Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Investigator news reports that the Leather Hub, located in Matori, Mushin,is aimed to empower local artisans and revitalize the leather sector in Lagos State.
Hon. Jakande emphasized that the facility will provide crucial resources and training opportunities, enabling artisans to hone their skills and improve product quality.

This aligns with the government’s commitment to fostering creativity and craftsmanship while boosting local economic development.
He called on residents to join in the celebration and witness the start of this transformative project at Daily Need Road, Matori Industrial Layout, Mushin.
Jakande encouraged all residents to participate in the event, stressing the importance of investing in local artisans and the potential for job creation and economic growth.
