Executives of the Farmers Association, Ejigbo Chapter, have applauded the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), for his impactful agricultural initiatives aimed at boosting food production and improving farmers’ livelihoods in the council area.

The commendation was made during a courtesy visit by the association to the newly appointed Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Services, Hon. Mathew Gbadegesin.

The delegation explained that the visit was to formally welcome the Supervisor to office and to reaffirm their support for the administration’s agricultural development agenda.

They particularly praised the “Oja Oko Project,” describing it as a transformative initiative that has strengthened agricultural value chains and enhanced farmers’ access to market opportunities.

The association also expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman for facilitating a Ten Million Naira (N10 million) interest-free loan for farmers, noting that the intervention has provided much-needed financial relief and encouraged increased agricultural productivity across Ejigbo LCDA.

Responding, Hon. Mathew Gbadegesin thanked the association for the visit and assured them of his readiness to work closely with farmers to further develop the agricultural sector.

He emphasized that the administration remains committed to empowering farmers and creating sustainable economic opportunities.

He further urged beneficiaries to make effective use of the loan and other opportunities provided by the council, stressing that agriculture remains a viable pathway to wealth creation and improved living standards.

Investigator news reports that the meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration for sustainable agricultural growth and community development in Ejigbo LCDA.
