Calm has returned to the Olorunsogo axis of Ejigbo LCDA following a swift intervention by the Executive Chairman, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), in response to recent security concerns in the area.
In a decisive move, TAT led a coordinated a joint security operation along Idimu Road, spanning Ile Iwe, Oboye Pipeline, and Olorunsogo, where he assessed vulnerable spots and interacted with residents to reinforce confidence and gather firsthand information.
The operation brought together key security stakeholders, including the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Abiodun Omisore, officers of the Nigeria Police Force, the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), local vigilantes, and other community-based security outfits.
Also present were top council officials such as the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abimbola Nicholas-Ike, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Yemisi Otuyemi, councillors, supervisors, special advisers, and members of the council management team led by Pastor Olusegun Ajagunna.
Commending residents for their vigilance, Aare TAT noted that timely information and whistleblowing from the community played a critical role in enabling the rapid response.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustained patrols, enhanced intelligence-sharing, and a zero-tolerance stance on criminal activities, assuring residents of continued proactive measures to safeguard lives and property across Ejigbo LCDA.
