Drake Discloses His Father Is 30% Nigerian, Shares Ancestry Results
Following the results of his father’s DNA ancestry test, Grammy-winning Canadian rapper Aubrey Graham AKA Drake has claimed he may be Nigerian.
The results of DNA ancestry tests reveal information about genetic ethnicity that goes beyond what people learn from relatives or historical documentation.
Drake revealed his father’s ancestry results on Instagram, revealing that he is mostly Nigerian.

He captioned the results, “This is my dad’s results, does this mean I’m a Naija man finally?”
Many black people in the diaspora have discovered their Nigerian ancestors, including the rapper. Meghan Markle revealed last year that she is 43% Nigerian. Lil Wayne, an American rapper, also claimed to be 53% Nigerian.
