The Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA,Hon Dr. Seyi Jakande, has sworn in his new executive cabinet, urging them to prioritize integrity, accountability, and service.
The ceremony, held on Friday 6, March 2026,at the council secretariat, began with the swearing-in of Hon. Mujeeb Daramola as Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), followed by Mr. Taiwo Ogungbe, who took the oath of office as Chief of Staff in the chairman’s office.
Dr. Jakande while congratulating the new appointees, described their selection as “not just an honour but a call to service.”
He reminded them of the administration’s guiding framework — the HEWA Agenda (Health/Environmental Sustainability, Education/Empowerment, Works and Security, Agriculture/Tourism) which has already delivered improvements in healthcare, education, welfare, sports, and infrastructure.
Dr Jakande emphasized the importance of building on existing achievements, citing improvements in healthcare, education, welfare, sports, and infrastructure.
He charged the cabinet to make a positive impact and leave a lasting legacy.
“As you take your oath today, remember: the eyes of the people are upon us. Let your tenure be remembered for impact, fairness, and the legacy of positive change you leave behind.”he said
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including the former First Lady of Lagos State, Alhaja Abimbola Jakande,the Vice Chairman Hon. Gbeminiyi Awodogan, all the councillors led by the Leader of the House Olamilekan Adeyi, the management staff of the council led by the council manager, Ms Mojisola Ogabi and the Council Treasurer Mujtaba Rufai.
Others are Hon. Kehinde Ajinni; Hon. Ayọdeji Jakande, Dr. Mrs. Oyeyemi Ayoola (ably represented by Mrs Ọmọshola Olufemi), APC Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Party Chairman, Hon Babatunde Ismail (TUNKAZ) and Aremo Adéyemí Alli (ably represented by Hon. Williams Isaac).
Also in attendance were CDC Odi Olowo-Ojuwoye Chairman Chief Adekunle Adebayo and the LCDA CAN Leader, Bishop Durowoju.
Investigator news reports that the following were sworn in as Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers, they include Hon Omowunmi Olayiwola, Hon Tosin Mabinuori, Hon Olowolagba Ahmed, Hon Abayomi Macaulay, Hon Lanre Lawal, Hon Abiodun Ajayi, Hon Ahmad Shotanwa.
Others are Hon Adekunle Akinsete, Hon Yinka Falade, Hon Aliu Ibrahim, Hon Tayo Adeosun, Hon Adeyinka Ganiu, Hon Engr. Kamorudeen Fajolu, Hon Damilola Jayesimi, and Hon Faith Aladesuru.
