Christians have been encouraged to remain hopeful and trust in God’s faithfulness amidst the challenges facing the country.

This call was made during the 2025 Goshen Summit held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with the theme “Unfathomable Love of God”at the Assemblies Of God Church, Ikotun Section, Lagos West District,
The guest speaker, Rev. Ahamefula George Innocent of the Assemblies Of God Church Victory 2,Iba Estate,Badagry District emphasized the importance of remembering God’s presence in difficult times and relying on His divine supremacy.

Speaking on the topic “Anti Goshen Forces”where he took his text from the book of Genesis 47:27-31 and Exodus 1:6-14, noted that God is aware of every situation and is still faithful, citing the example of the Israelites in Goshen during the time of famine and plague in Egypt, while encouraging every Christian to go back to God as the God of Goshen is still alive.

Rev. Ahamefula identified three key elements that can help believers overcome adversity: prayers, sacrifice, and command. He encouraged Christians to trust in God’s faithfulness and not be carried away by the pleasures of this world.

Speaking with newsmen, the Sectional leader and Assistant District Superintendent, Lagos West District, Rev. Dr.S.E. Nwosu, stated that Goshen is a safety place for the Children of God, where they can experience God’s providence, healing, and salvation.
He urged believers to trust in God’s goodness and faithfulness, even in the face of challenges.

According to him, the section was having pockets of crisis until God gave him the vision of Goshen.so as to ameliorate it, because Goshen is a place of safety to the children of God.

” In the face of scarcity,God will provide, protect us and with so many diseases around,God will heal every home because in Goshen there was no sickness and when there was crisis in Goshen,God gave them a way out because it is a place where we meet God one on one, where the providence of God is real”he submitted.

The five days Goshen Summit, which featured songspiration, biblical exposition, healing, and salvation, was a call to Christians to trust in God’s unfathomable love and faithfulness.

As Rev. Dr. Nwosu noted, “In the face of scarcity, God will provide, protect us, and heal every home because in Goshen, there was no hope and when there was crisis, God gave them a way out.”
