The Delta State Police Command has put motorists on notice that it will start enforcing regulations on tinted vehicle glass, sirens, revolving lights, and number plates from October 2, 2025.
The command will also strictly enforce the ban on unauthorized use of sirens, revolving lights, and covered or defaced number plates.
In a press release signed by the Force Public Relation Officer,SP Bright Edafe stated that motorists are advised to ensure their vehicle glass meets legal transparency standards, remove unauthorized sirens and flashing lights, and keep number plates clear and legible.
Drivers are also reminded to carry essential vehicle documents, including driver’s license, insurance, and proof of ownership.
SP Edafe noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has assured residents that the clampdown aims to curb road intimidation, strengthen deterrence, and improve public safety.

He went further to state that the command has also directed area commanders and divisional police officers to supervise field operations closely and ensure civility and respect for human rights.
“The CP encouraged members of the public to comply as defaulters will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
