As part of activities marking its 30th anniversary, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) successfully hosted a groundbreaking workshop themed “Harnessing Counseling and Therapy for a Resilient and Thriving Muslim Ummah.”
The event which took place at the Center for Management Development, attracted Islamic organizations from Lagos, Ogun, and other southwestern states.
Investigator news reports that the event served as a platform to discuss the critical role of counseling in fostering emotional well-being and spiritual resilience among Muslims
The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Abdul Koyumu Abiodun Oladiipo, who highlighted the growing need for faith-based counseling in addressing mental health challenges, family conflicts, and personal struggles within the Ummah.
He emphasized that Islam provides divine guidance on emotional resilience and psychological well-being, urging faith leaders to take proactive steps in establishing structured support systems.
In his remarks, Alhaji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf applauded NASFAT’s commitment to holistic development, noting that counseling and therapy are crucial for societal progress.

He called for collaboration among Islamic organizations to create sustainable counseling frameworks that align with Islamic principles.
Commending the event, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike praised the workshop’s impact, offering prayers for its success and urging stakeholders to implement actionable solutions in their respective communities
Investigator news gathered that guest that attended the event included the NASFAT President, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, and the Chief Missioner, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, alongside members of the NASFAT Board of Trustees, Council of Elders, and national counseling committee.
They collectively lauded the initiative, commending its organizers for prioritizing the emotional and mental well-being of the Muslim community.
It will be recalled that NASFAT reaffirmed its commitment to pioneering faith-driven counseling, ensuring no Muslim suffers in silence.
