The Executive Chairman of Ikeja LG,Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD),has commended the NYSC scheme for sustaining Nigeria’s cultural heritage and promoting unity among young Nigerians at the Lagos NYSC Cultural Carnival.
He stated this on Saturday, 7th February, 2026, when he attended the Lagos NYSC Cultural Carnival held at the Lagos State NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana-Ipaja.
He reaffirmed Ikeja Local Government’s continued support for youth development initiatives and programmes that foster national integration.
Investigator news reports that the colourful cultural carnival showcased the rich diversity of Nigeria through captivating traditional dances, cultural plays, and indigenous attires representing various ethnic groups across the country.
Comrade AKOD was warmly received at the event by the Lagos State Director of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Christiana Salmwang and the Ikeja Local Government Inspector of NYSC, Mrs. Abosede Ojimi,who appreciated his presence and noted that it added prestige and colour to the occasion.
Investigator news gathered that the Chairman was accompanied to the event by his Chief of Staff, Chief Adeyi Adeniyi.
