Ikeja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has inspected the ongoing link bridge construction connecting Onilekere and Onipetesi communities.

The Chairman who carried out an on the spot inspection of the ongoing bridge, expressed satisfaction with the project’s pace and quality, urging the contractor to maintain momentum and deliver on time, so residents of both communities can begin to enjoy the full benefits of the bridge without delay.
Comrade AKOD praised residents of the two communities for their cooperation, noting that community support is crucial to successful project execution,noting that community support remains vital to the successful execution of developmental projects.

He assured residents that upon completion, the bridge will significantly enhance accessibility, ease movement, stimulate local commerce, and promote economic growth within the axis

He described the project as one of the landmark achievements of his administration, stating that delivering such a critical infrastructure within one year in office is unprecedented in the history of Ikeja Local Government.

The Council boss reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful leadership, infrastructural renewal, and people-oriented governance under the Ikeja Agenda.
